Wow, where did that come from?

Well, we are back to the whole earthquake thing....We had quite a scare yesterday with that sudden sharp jolt that kept rolling and seemed neverending... I am somewhat okay with earthquakes, but what freaked me out yesterday was not having my kids with me. I know that they were with my mother in law and that they were probably safe but you just feel helpless not having your kids with you in the event of an emergency. The good Lord must have felt my helplessness because right after the quake had settled, I had called Hans to check on him and of course the phone lines had gone down... Well, i thought I'd give it another try to my mother in law, of course her house phone was down, but on the 3rd try, I was able to get thru to her cell phone! Thank Goodness... I needed to hear that my boys were safe and that they aren't losing their minds. they seemed to be okay and she assured me that they were so I stayed at work but still felt kind of uneasy. I then began to realize what was bothering me... it was what my dad has been lecturing me about for the past few years.... I needed to have a plan.
My dad has been on my ass for not having a disaster plan put in place for when the big one hits or some other type of disaster happens. I know that he is right and that I really need to do it, I just haven't made the time to do it. I'm just used to dad telling me what to do and I know I'm okay. I'm not used to initiating something, I'm just used to taking direction. Well, I just knew I was probably going to get the lecture about how this earthquake was nothing in comparison to what could be truly disasterous and there wasn't a plan of action.
Well, needless to say, I talked to Hans tonight about it and made him understand how dad wasn't just blowing smoke up our asses to be annoying... he is right. We NEED A PLAN!!! So, while Hans finally agreed, we started talking some things out and unfortunately we didn't get too far as I was starting to work on some homework but this is something that I'm not going to ignore anymore...I need to have this figured out and it needs to be soon. ;)

Well, with the lecture from dad comes some fun from Ryan. Well, after the crazy day we had yesterday, I get a call from my mother in law around 3 in the afternoon...I'm thinking "oh great, the kids are still going crazy, she's going to ask me to pick them up..." well, thank goodness that wasn't the case as i had sooo much to do at work...but the phone call was still pretty funny. Apparently, she noticed that Ryan was roaming her house "commando". WHAT?! She calls to ask me if Ryan came to her house with underwear this morning... I'm like, "yes, he does every day" well, apparently, he wasn't wearing any yesterday. I informed her that Ryan went to bed in underwear, woke up in them and he dressed himself. he's pretty good about wearing his underwear as he has a freakish obsession with them so it surprised me that he was at her house without underwear all day.. oh well... i guess he needed to "breathe". who knows...that kid is a mystery sometimes...

Well, all this stress of earthquakes, homework, work, fundings and the river trip has done no justice to my complexion! I now have some disgusting breakout and they are the huge craters that are under your skin. They freaking hurt! I'm so disgusted by them right now...I can't wait until this weekend, maybe once i can relax and float on my raft and drink me a cold alcoholic beverage my stress will begin to diminish and my complexion will clear up. how gross! I feel like i need to run out and get some Oxy Clean or something.... this is sooo wrong!

well, here are your words:

Ryan: Rocky made the house move (Ryan is blaming his grandma's cat for the earthquake)
Aaron: Ryaaaaaaa (ryan)

hhmm...

so, here i am, back again... I finally remembered my email and password so now I can start writing again! I seem to have a case of short term memory.... too much stuff going on...
Well, we ended the last of our July birthday celebrations this weekend... we have been to a birthday party every weekend this month, and my husband is about to lose his damn mind. He claims i know too many people, blah, blah, blah.... whatever! well, he was starting to unwind knowing that the last birthday party was Saturday, now he's back in full stress mode trying to get ready to take off to the river this Friday... He has been in the driveway trying to put on these electric steps on his truck so that i won't be exposing anyone my "britney" when trying to get into the truck anymore... nasty, right?!
So, here it is, 9:30...Ryan has been fighting with me for the past hour and a half...he doesn't want to go to bed. He swears that there is a little boy "cripet" in his room and he can't sleep. Well, I informed him that the "cripet" is actually somewhere in my room and that I would go find him...Well, Ryan wasn't convinced so he followed me into my room and we pulled the couch off the wall, and sure enough, there was the "cripet". Ryan was SCREAMING like a damn little girl, so then I was freaking out because the cricket was going crazy and jumping all over the place. Needless to say, Ryan and I captured the "little boy cripet" and we're waiting for daddy to come in the house and remove him from our trap.
Today, the boys and I had lunch with mom, dad and Michael... Lunch went well, everyone was on their best behavior...well, not so much Ryan but it was still a nice, yummy lunch! Ryan suckered my dad into ordering him a sundae.... how could dad resist? Well, it was funny because when they brought the bill to my dad, Ryan still hadn't recieved his sundae. What cracked us all up was that Ryan noticed the bill arriving and was NOT having that!! He was ticked off that the waitress brought the bill ready to get us out of there and he didn't get his ice cream yet... of course, as we're all laughing, my dad assures Ryan that "don't worry, she's not getting any money until your ice cream gets here." So, Ryan immediately calmed down. too funny. I'm thinking with Ryan knowing the dining out drill I should probably start cooking at home a bit more.
Here's where its going to get a bit nasty... LOL... my mom graciously accepted my asking her to keep the boys overnight last night so that Hans and I could get some overdue yardwork done...My dad informs me that Ryan pooped so large, he is still in disbelief! I laughed and told him that I know my kid can poop something fierce...think back to the 1 piece of poop that got stuck in my toilet at 2 in the morning. HAHAHAH..I don't think he believed me, but now he does... AHAHAHAH...
anyways, i'm gonna head out...i'm still so tired. Here are your words for the day:

Aaron: 'no, it's mine!"
Ryan: Cripet

has it been two weeks? seriously?

well, Here I am, back in action, rec'd a paycheck and losing my mind from a group project from school. I thought that college entailed grown up school work, not jr. high stuff. I just had another group project to do and 2 of the 4 people didn't do a thing... and it wouldn't bother me too much but we ALL have to participate in the presentation tomm... I'm thinking that the 2 "slackers" should have to present it... that's just my opinion.

This past weekend we were at a birthday party and the party was at a bouncy house place... we all had such a blast! Ryan and Aaron thought they were superman and were sliding down the slides on their tummies with their feet and hands raised up. I thought it was the funniest thing. Now, Ryan wants to go to the "bouncy place" everyday, he's hooked! I'm contemplating having one of the kids birthday parties there now. It was fun for the adults too!

We visited Hans' sisters again this weekend and took the boys swimming. Ryan played so well with his little cousin Connor. It makes me realize what a good big brother he could be if he wasn't fighting with Aaron all the time.

Mom and I went to get our toes did this past sunday and found out that our nail ladies had sold the shop and moved on! I am soooo freaking bummed!! now I have to scout out several nail shops to find someone who is suitable to doing my nails. I am such a picky freak about my finger nails... not just anyone can do them... I used to cry when I would get a fill and they were ugly....literally.
oh well, at least the pedicure ladies were still there, they hooked us up for a good hour on our feet... i was in pedicure heaven that day.

Oh, we went to the river for the 4th of July... can i say CHAOS?!!! it was insane, but fun! We took my stepson and one of his friends... we had such a blast. I was forced to learn how to trailer the boat and surprisingly, I did extremely well. I made my husband promise not to yell at me if I were to mess anything up and I didn't! he was so pleased that he made me do it again the next day.... I was not too happy about that, but oh well, at least I don't feel like such a loser anymore, I'm figuring it out. By the way, for all of you Havasu lovers, SITE 6.... CRAZY!!!! Don't use it if you don't have to. Pay the money and launch at the marina. enough said. It was a freaking gauntlet trying to get the boats on the trailer at site 6. all the locals come down with their lawn chairs and ice chests full of beer and just antagonize the hell out of anyone trying to put their boats on the trailer, they purposely intimidate you so that you will fuck up. Then all the drunks start fighting and all kinds of madness is surrounding you...like I said, pay the money and launch at the Marina. or better yet, stay at the Nautical.

Can't wait to go back to the river, we will be attending the makeshift Cobra regatta again...I'm ready to get my tan on again... since the one from the 4th is peeling away as we speak.

here are your words:

Aaron: Connor!
